Makes various changes to provisions concerning energy resources requiring public utilities to submit certain information regarding renewable energy to the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada; authorizing the Commission to approve construction or expansion of transmission facilities based on an expectation of future renewable energy development; revising provisions requiring certain providers of electric service to comply with a portfolio standard for renewable energy. Recommendation: (2) Passed.
- AB 402 (2) (BDR 888)
Revises provisions related to resource planning by public utilities. This bill specifies that the parties to a public hearing on the adequacy of a plan to increase supply or decrease demands filed by a public utility include: (1) the utility itself; (2) the Division of Environmental Protection of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; and (3) certain nonprofit corporations or associations. (NRS 704.746). Recommendation: (2) Passed.

Revises provisions relating to certain crimes involving firearms, ammunition or explosives. Recommendation: (3) Passed.
- SB 127 (2)* (BDR 596)
Exempts qualified persons or groups providing services as a project manager or construction manager to a long-term recovery group from regulation as a contractor. This would allow such a manager to help coordinate the activities of volunteers in areas such as Fernley after the flood in the recovery efforts. Passed.
- SB 130 (3)* (BDR 468)
Revises certain provisions governing certificates of permission to perform marriages. The bill liberalizes the category of persons who may receive certificates of permission to solemnize marriage. The bill requires the Nevada Secretary of State to maintain a data base of people receiving certificates to solemnize marriages. Passed.
- SB 169 (2) (BDR 674)
Enacts the Revised Uniform Unincorporated Nonprofit Association Act of 2008. This establishes default rules for governance of unincorporated nonprofit associations in Nevada. (2) Passed.
- SB 207 (2)* (BDR 738)
Revises provisions relating to unlawful discrimination in places of public accommodation AN ACT relating to public accommodations; revising provisions relating to unlawful discrimination based on sexual orientation in places of public accommodation. Recommendation: (2)* Passed.
